HSE Allowance
The HSE provides an annual allowance towards post-mastectomy products.
You do not need a medical card to qualify
If your chosen items cost more than the allowance, you simply pay the difference
How to Access Your Allowance
- Obtain a Prescription or Letter
Request a prescription or letter from your GP or consultant confirming your eligibility. - Book a Fitting Appointment
Schedule a fitting with our trained team at Geoghegans. - Attend Your Appointment
Bring your prescription with you and choose from our specialist lingerie range, designed with discreet pocketing and gentle support. - Application Submission
We will submit your application to the HSE using your prescription and invoice. - Approval & CollectionOnce your application is approved by the HSE (typically within 3 to 4 weeks), we will contact you to collect your items.
What to Expect at Your Fitting
Our trained fitters will:
- Help you find comfortable & supportive bras with discreet pocketing for a prosthesis
- Offer guidance on styles, sizing, and materials for bras & prosthesis
- Ensure a private, relaxed, and respectful experience
